29 May 1980TL;DR: In this article, a large scale display device such as a stadium or advertising display in which a plurality of light emitting elements constituted by cathode-ray tubes are arranged in a plane to display color images and characters is presented.
Abstract: A large scale display device such as a stadium or advertising display in which a plurality of light emitting elements constituted by cathode-ray tubes are arranged in a plane to display color images and characters. Specifically, light emitting elements are constituted by cathode-ray tubes having three primary color light emitting elements. A drive circuit is provided for each color of each of the light emitting element to selectively turn on and off the light emitting element. The drive circuit has brightness adjusting means for adjusting the intensity of light emitted by each light emitting element. A memory circuit is connected to each drive circuit for supplying a binary control signal to the drive circuit to selectively turn on and off the corresponding light emitting element.

09 Sep 1994TL;DR: In this paper, a fuel feeding system is provided for an internal combustion engine to permit appropriate feeding of fuel in accordance with the state of operation of the engine, where a low-pressure fuel pump (4) is arranged in an upstream part of the fuel line (3), and a high-pressure regulator (10), arranged in a fuel line portion on a downstream side of the regulator, is used to control the pressure of fuel delivered from the pump (5).
Abstract: A fuel feeding system is provided for an internal combustion engine to permit appropriate feeding of fuel in accordance with the state of operation of the engine. A fuel line (3) is arranged as a recirculation circuit between a fuel injector (1) and a fuel tank (2). A low-pressure fuel pump (4) is arranged in an upstream part of the fuel line (3). A high-pressure fuel pump (5) is arranged between the fuel pump (4) and the injector (1). A high-pressure regulator (10) is arranged in a fuel line portion on a downstream side of the regulator (10) to control the pressure of fuel delivered from the pump (5). A bypass line (13) connects another fuel line portion on an upstream side of the regulator (10) and the fuel line portion each other. A switching valve (14) is arranged in the bypass line (13) to open or close the same. A low-pressure regulator (9) controls the pressure of fuel in the fuel line portion at a pressure lower than a control pressure set by the regulator (10) while the switching valve (14) is open. ECU (30) is arranged to perform open/close control of the switching valve (14) so that the switching valve (14) is closed in an ordinary operation state of the engine but is opened in a specific operation state of the engine.

30 May 1996TL;DR: A software license management system that assists a user at a local node of a computer network in selecting an appropriate type of software licenses available at the time of a request is presented in this article.
Abstract: A software license management system that assists a user at a local node of a computer network in selecting an appropriate type of software licenses available at the time of a request. When the user requests a license for a required software tool, the system determines whether a node-locked license assigned to its node is available. If not, the system determines whether a floating license for the required software tool is available. If no floating or local node-locked license is available, the system finds out whether a node-locked license assigned to a remote node of the network can be used. If so, the user is connected to the remote node to use that node-locked license. If no license for the required software tool is available at the time of the request, the request is placed on a license request queue for the required software tool. The user is notified in order of the queue when any license for the required software tool becomes available.

14 Sep 1992TL;DR: In this paper, a multiprocessor type time varying image encoding system with a plurality of digital signal processor (DSP) modules (DMM's) connected in parallel, each DMM having a DSP, a local memory and an interrupt control unit, is described.
Abstract: A multiprocessor type time varying image encoding system having a plurality of digital signal processor (DSP) modules (DMM's) connected in parallel, each DMM having a DSP, a local memory and an interrupt control unit, a plurality of common memories for storing data which is being processed, parameters, etc., an input frame memory which enables reading and writing operations to be executed asynchronously, a combination of a task control unit and a task table for distributing tasks to the DMM's, a plurality of independent common buses, and a combination of a bus control unit and a bus control table for bus sharing control.
