TL;DR: In this article, a maximum and minimum color information detector detects a maximum color-signal gradation level or a value equivalent to the maximum gradient level and a minimum color-Signal gradient level, respectively, as color information for an image signal input to the image processing apparatus, and a gradation corrector corrects the gradation scale of each color component of the input image signal according to the correction parameters.
Abstract: A maximum and minimum color information detector detects a maximum color-signal gradation level or a value equivalent to the maximum gradation level and a minimum color-signal gradation level or a value equivalent to the minimum gradation level as color information for an image signal input to the image processing apparatus, a correction parameter generator sets correction parameters according to the color information about the input image signal, and a gradation corrector corrects the gradation scale of each color component of the input image signal according to the correction parameters. Contrast can thereby be improved without excessive color collapse.

TL;DR: In this article, a laser radar system includes: a scanner for transmitting a pulse toward a target while two-dimensional scanning a transmitting beam, and outputting scan angle information; a lens of the receiver for receiving received received light; a high aspect photo detector array for converting the received light into a received signal; a transimpedance amplifier array for amplifying the received signal, an adder circuit for adding the received signals from each element of the transimpingance amplifier arrays; a distance detecting circuit for measuring a light roundtrip time to the target of an output signal
Abstract: A laser radar system includes: a scanner for transmitting a pulse toward a target while two-dimensionally scanning a transmitting beam, and outputting scan angle information; a lens of the receiver for receiving received light; a high aspect photo detector array for converting the received light into a received signal; a transimpedance amplifier array for amplifying the received signal; an adder circuit for adding the received signal from each element of the transimpedance amplifier array; a distance detecting circuit for measuring a light round-trip time to the target of an output signal from the adder circuit; and a signal processing unit for causing the scanner to perform a two-dimensional scanning operation in association with the scan angle information, to determine distances to multiple points on the target based on the light round-trip time and a speed of light and measure a three-dimensional shape of the target

TL;DR: In this paper, a three-dimensional (3D) 256-bit static random access memory (RAM) with double active layers has been fabricated by using the laser recrystallization technique.
Abstract: A three-dimensional (3-D) 256-bit static random-access memory (RAM) with double active layers has been fabricated by using the laser recrystallization technique. Memory cells were located in a bottom active layer with an NMOS configuration and peripheral circuits were arranged in a top active layer with a CMOS configuration. Both active layers were connected by 112 via holes. The chip and cell sizes were 2.6 × 1.9 mm2and 50 × 70 µm2, respectively. The memory operation was observed with a supply voltage from 4 to 8 V. The shortest address access time of 42 ns was obtained at the supply voltage of 8 V.

TL;DR: In this paper, a system for ensuring smooth motion in a distributed virtual reality environment is presented. But the system switches between a linear interpolation algorithm for less predictable data and a Catmull-Rom spline for more predictable data.
Abstract: A system assures smooth motion in a distributed virtual reality environmenty categorizing the information to be transmitted as to the predictability of future motion and applying appropriate smoothing algorithms based upon knowledge of what the future motion is likely to be. The system switches between a linear interpolation algorithm for less predictable data and a Catmull-Rom spline for more predictable data.
