Fluorescent silver nanoclusters (Ag NCs) in the metal–organic framework MIL-101(Fe) for the catalytic hydrogenation of 4-nitroaniline

TL;DR: In this article, a fluorescent Ag nanocluster deposited iron-based metal organic framework, Ag NC@MIL-101(Fe), has been synthesized by a solution impregnation method.

Lanthanide directed self-assembly synthesis and photophysical evaluation of chiral Eu(III) luminescent “half-helicates”

TL;DR: The reaction between the asymmetrical pyridyl ligands 3 (R) and 4 (S) and Eu(III) in CH(3)CN give rise to the formation of lanthanide luminescent 'half-helicates' in 1 : 3 (Ln:ligand) stoichiometry; the formation was observed by monitoring the changes in the ground and the excited state properties of the ligands.
Journal ArticleDOI

2∞[Bi2Cl6(pyz)4]: a 2D-pyrazine coordination polymer as soft host lattice for the luminescence of the lanthanide ions Sm3+, Eu3+, Tb3+, and Dy3+.

TL;DR: The 2D-coordination polymer was synthesized from BiCl3 and a self-consuming melt of pyrazine and proves to be a suitable soft host lattice for in situ co-doping of the lanthanide ions Sm(3+), Eu( 3+), Tb(3 +), and Dy(3+) during network formation.

Water-free neodymium 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylates coordination complexes and their application as catalysts for isoprene polymerization.

TL;DR: A series of four coordination polymers based on neodymium have been hydrothermally synthesized with different carboxylic acids as a linker, affording cis-polyisoprene with good conversions.

Synthesis of a 3D photochromic coordination polymer with an interpenetrating arrangement: crystal engineering for electron transfer between donor and acceptor units

TL;DR: In this article, a photochromic coordination network is constructed via the combination of viologen and carboxylate fragments, and close packing of the two-fold diamond-like interwoven mode creates electron transfer bridges for the acceptor and donor components.

Selective gas adsorption and separation in metal–organic frameworks

TL;DR: This critical review starts with a brief introduction to gas separation and purification based on selective adsorption, followed by a review of gas selective adsorbents in rigid and flexible MOFs, and primary relationships between adsorptive properties and framework features are analyzed.

Metal–organic framework materials as catalysts

TL;DR: A critical review of the emerging field of MOF-based catalysis is presented and examples of catalysis by homogeneous catalysts incorporated as framework struts or cavity modifiers are presented.

Systematic Design of Pore Size and Functionality in Isoreticular MOFs and Their Application in Methane Storage

TL;DR: Metal-organic framework (MOF-5), a prototype of a new class of porous materials and one that is constructed from octahedral Zn-O-C clusters and benzene links, was used to demonstrate that its three-dimensional porous system can be functionalized with the organic groups and can be expanded with the long molecular struts biphenyl, tetrahydropyrene, pyrene, and terphenyl.
