Improved ethanol recovery through mixed-matrix membrane with hydrophobic MAF-6 as filler

TL;DR: In this article, the superhydrophobic alkyl group modificated metal organic framework (MAF-6) was incorporated into polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) polymer to fabricate mixed matrix membranes (MMMs).

A Porous Cobalt Tetraphosphonate Metal–Organic Framework: Accurate Structure and Guest Molecule Location Determined by Continuous‐Rotation Electron Diffraction

TL;DR: It is demonstrated for the first time that organic molecules in the pores of the MOF framework could be located using the cRED data, and a comparison of eight independent structure determinations using different datasets shows that structural models differ only on average by 0.03(2) Å.

[WS4Cu3I2]− and [WS4Cu4]2+ secondary building units formed a metal–organic framework: Large tubes in a highly interpenetrated system

TL;DR: A 3D metal-organic framework that contains four anionic and four cationic frameworks formed by tetranuclear and pentanuclear SBUs with long dpbp ligands is presented, which contains large rhombus-shaped tubes with diagonal dimensions.

Selective gas adsorption and separation in metal–organic frameworks

TL;DR: This critical review starts with a brief introduction to gas separation and purification based on selective adsorption, followed by a review of gas selective adsorbents in rigid and flexible MOFs, and primary relationships between adsorptive properties and framework features are analyzed.

Systematic Design of Pore Size and Functionality in Isoreticular MOFs and Their Application in Methane Storage

TL;DR: Metal-organic framework (MOF-5), a prototype of a new class of porous materials and one that is constructed from octahedral Zn-O-C clusters and benzene links, was used to demonstrate that its three-dimensional porous system can be functionalized with the organic groups and can be expanded with the long molecular struts biphenyl, tetrahydropyrene, pyrene, and terphenyl.
