TLDR
In this article, theoretical and phenomenological aspects of two-Higgs-doublet extensions of the Standard Model are discussed and a careful study of spontaneous CP violation is presented, including an analysis of the conditions which have to be satisfied in order for a vacuum to violate CP.

Naturalness, the hyperbolic branch, and prospects for the observation of charged Higgs bosons at high luminosity LHC and 27 TeV LHC

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that a relatively small Higgs mixing parameter can lead to much heavier Higgs masses, which are significantly lighter than other scalars such as squarks, and that such a situation is realized on the hyperbolic branch of radiative breaking of the electroweak symmetry.
Journal ArticleDOI

Detecting a boosted diboson resonance

TL;DR: In this article, the authors focus on the scenario where the direct production of the scalar is suppressed, and it is rather produced via the decay of a significantly heavier (a few TeV mass) new particle, in conjunction with SM particles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of two inert scalar doublets on Higgs boson interactions and the electroweak phase transition

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the effects of scalar weak doublets on oblique electroweak parameters and on the interactions of the 125 GeV Higgs boson, especially its decay modes h→γγ,γZ and trilinear self-coupling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mono-Higgs Detection of Dark Matter at the LHC

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the possibility that a missing energy plus Higgs final state is the dominant signal channel for dark matter at the LHC and found that a Higgs and dark matter pair can be produced through an off-shell Z or photon.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dark matter production in association with a single top quark at the LHC in a two Higgs doublet model with a pseudoscalar mediator

TL;DR: In this paper, the sensitivity of the LHC experiments to the associated production of dark matter with a single top is studied in the framework of an extension of the standard model featuring two Higgs doublets and an additional pseudoscalar mediator.

CP Conservation in the Presence of Pseudoparticles

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors give an explanation of the conservation of strong interactions which includes the effects of pseudoparticles, and they find it is a natural result for any theory where at least one flavor of fermion acquires its mass through a Yukawa coupling to a scalar field which has nonvanishing vacuum expectation value.
Journal ArticleDOI

Broken Symmetries and the Masses of Gauge Bosons

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the spin-one quanta of some of the gauge fields acquire mass; the longitudinal degrees of freedom of these particles (which would be absent if their mass were zero) go over into the Goldstone bosons when the coupling tends to zero.
Journal ArticleDOI

Broken Symmetry and the Mass of Gauge Vector Mesons

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that in certain cases vector mesons do indeed acquire mass when the vacuum is degenerate with respect to a compact Lie group, and that strong interaction physics originates from massive gauge fields related to a system of conserved currents.
