TLDR
In this article, theoretical and phenomenological aspects of two-Higgs-doublet extensions of the Standard Model are discussed and a careful study of spontaneous CP violation is presented, including an analysis of the conditions which have to be satisfied in order for a vacuum to violate CP.

New limits on tanβ for 2HDMs with Z2 symmetry

TL;DR: In two-Higgs-doublet models with exact Z2 symmetry, putting mh ≃ 125GeV at the alignment limit, the following limits on the heavy scalar masses are obtained from the conditions of unitarity and stability of the scalar potential: mH, mA, mH+ < 1TeV and 1/8

Scalar potential of two-Higgs doublet models

TL;DR: In this paper, a detailed analysis of the two-Higgs doublet model (2HDM) potential was performed at the tree-level and at the one-loop analysis at the dimension-2 or dimension-4 level.

Higgs Bosons from Top Quark Decays

TL;DR: In this paper, the decay branching fraction of the top quark to Higgs boson transition in the standard model (SM)-like Higgs particle was investigated, and it was shown that the decay fraction can be increased by a factor of 2 under current constraints on the coupling parameters from collider experiments.

Natural Flavour Conservation in a three Higg-doublet Model

TL;DR: In this paper, an extension of the standard model (SM) with three SU(2)$ scalar doublets and a discrete $S_3\otimes \mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetries was considered, and it was shown that these matrices are of the tri-bimaximal type.

Neutrino Masses and Absence of Flavor Changing Interactions in the 2HDM from Gauge Principles

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose several Two Higgs Doublet Models with the addition of an Abelian gauge group which free the usual framework from flavor changing neutral interactions and explain neutrino masses through the seesaw mechanism.

CP Conservation in the Presence of Pseudoparticles

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors give an explanation of the conservation of strong interactions which includes the effects of pseudoparticles, and they find it is a natural result for any theory where at least one flavor of fermion acquires its mass through a Yukawa coupling to a scalar field which has nonvanishing vacuum expectation value.

Broken Symmetries and the Masses of Gauge Bosons

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the spin-one quanta of some of the gauge fields acquire mass; the longitudinal degrees of freedom of these particles (which would be absent if their mass were zero) go over into the Goldstone bosons when the coupling tends to zero.
Journal ArticleDOI

Broken Symmetry and the Mass of Gauge Vector Mesons

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that in certain cases vector mesons do indeed acquire mass when the vacuum is degenerate with respect to a compact Lie group, and that strong interaction physics originates from massive gauge fields related to a system of conserved currents.
