Journal ArticleDOI

A polysaccharide carrier to effectively deliver native phosphodiester CpG DNA to antigen-presenting cells.

TL;DR: Both in vivo and vitro assays indicated that the SPG complex may be of use for CpG DNA therapy, and it was suggested that unmodified SPG might effectively deliver PO in vivo due to the electrically neutral nature of un modified SPG.
Journal ArticleDOI

Apolipoprotein CIII Induces Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein-1 and Interleukin 6 Expression Via Toll-Like Receptor 2 Pathway in Mouse Adipocytes

TL;DR: ApoCIII may activate extracellular signal-regulated kinase and nuclear factor kB through TLR2 and induce proinflammatory adipokine expression in vitro and in vivo, which links dyslipidemia to inflammation in adipocytes, which, in turn, may contribute to atherosclerosis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of a transcriptional regulatory factor for human aromatase cytochrome P450 gene expression as nuclear factor interleukin-6 (NF-IL6), a member of the CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein family.

TL;DR: The isolation of a cDNA encoding a DNA-binding protein which binds specifically to the regulatory element resulted in the disappearance of the transcriptional enhancing activity of the element, indicating that NF-IL6 is at least one of the nuclear factors which enhances transcription through binding to the cis-acting element.
