Anti-oxidative effect of a protein from Cajanus indicus L against acetaminophen-induced hepato-nephro toxicity.

TL;DR: Investigation of the protective effect of a 43 kDa protein isolated from the herb Cajanus indicus against acetaminophen-induced hepatic and renal toxicity and histopathological changes suggest that the protein protects hepatics and renal tissues against oxidative damages and could be used as an effective protector against acetamophen induced hepato-nephrotoxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Eubiotic effect of a dietary acidifier (potassium diformate) on the health status of cultured Oreochromis niloticus.

TL;DR: The use of acidifiers can be an efficient tool to achieve sustainable, economical and safe fish production and the resistance against diseases increased with dietary KDF in a dose-dependent manner.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nutritive value of soybean meal after solid state fermentation with Saccharomyces cerevisiae for Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus

TL;DR: A feeding trial was conducted to investigate the effect of yeast fermented soybean meal on the growth, feed utilization, hematological and biochemical blood parameters of Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus and non-significant effect of YFSBM inclusion level on Htc and Hb was found.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of Probiotic Bacteria Bacillus on Growth Performance, Digestive Enzyme Activity, and Hematological Parameters of Asian Sea Bass, Lates calcarifer (Bloch)

TL;DR: Asian sea bass receiving diets supplemented with probiotic Bacillus showed significantly better growth than those fed the basal diet (control) and total protein levels and dry matter were higher and lipid levels were lower in fish fed the diet containing 1 × 106 CFU g−1 probiotic.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tangeretin Alleviates Cisplatin-Induced Acute Hepatic Injury in Rats: Targeting MAPKs and Apoptosis.

TL;DR: The results highlight the protective effects of tangeretin against cisplatin-induced acute hepatic injury via the concerted modulation of inflammation, oxidative stress, MAPKs and apoptotic pathways.
