Journal ArticleDOI

Developmental toxicity and biological responses of zebrafish (Danio rerio) exposed to anti-inflammatory drug ketoprofen.

TL;DR: It is concluded that ketoprofen could have an impact on the development and biological endpoints of the zebra fish at above concentrations and the malformation in the development of the embryo and changes in the biological end points may provide integrated evaluation of the toxic effect of ketoprafen on zebrafish in a new perspective.
Journal ArticleDOI

Restorative effect of Eclipta alba in CCl4 induced hepatotoxicity in male albino rats

TL;DR: The aim of this study is to elucidate the restorative effect of the aqueous leaf extract of the traditional medicinal plant Eclipta alba against CCl4 induced hepatotoxicity in male albino rats.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies on the effect of pomegranate (Punica granatum) juice and peel on liver and kidney in adult male rats

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that pomegranate has a potent anti-oxidative effect and reduced lipid peroxidation and nitric oxide in both liver and kidney tissue homogenate of rats.
Journal ArticleDOI

Role of oxidative stress and nitric oxide in the protective effects of α-lipoic acid and aminoguanidine against isoniazid–rifampicin-induced hepatotoxicity in rats

TL;DR: Co-administration of alpha-lipoic acid and aminoguanidine restore superoxide dismutase, catalase and myeloperoxidase activities and maintained the imbalance in the glutathione level, linked to a marked lipid-lowering effect.
