TL;DR: On histopathological examination, the presence of gastrointestinal epithelium, along with hair follicles and sebaceous glands in the capsule confirmed the final diagnosis of a teratoid cyst.
Abstract: . The cyst described here was completely excised by intraoral approach w, hich was determined by the location of the cysts on higher planes. A broad surgical field was obtained, allowing a blunt dissection and full removal of the cyst, without break of the capsule, reducing the chances of recurrence. On histopathological examination, the presence of gastrointestinal epithelium, along with hair follicles and sebaceous glands in the capsule confirmed the final diagnosis of a teratoid cyst.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated gustatory sensitivity in relation to the nutritional status of elderly women participating in an Activity Center for the Elderly (ACE), in Curitiba, Brazil.
Abstract: Aging is associated with a decline in sensory acuity that may lead to impaired nutritional status. Thus, the study aimed to evaluate gustatory sensitivity in relation to the nutritional status of elderly women participating in an Activity Center for the Elderly (ACE). For that, an observational, analytical cross-sectional study was performed with elderly participants of an ACE, in Curitiba, PR. An anamnesis was applied to know and characterize the evaluated population, then an evaluation of the nutritional status was made through anthropometry. The taste sensitivity evaluation was carried out by means of a test of several solutions with progressive concentrations prepared in the sweet, salty, bitter, and sour tastes. The detection and recognition thresholds were evaluated. A chi-square test was applied to verify associations between the variables. The study included 30 elderly women, with a mean age of 74.2 ± 8.8 years and a mean body mass index of overweight. For the detection threshold, all flavors required significant amounts to be detected. For the recognition threshold, the salty and sour flavors were readily recognized, with values lower than the reference values, while the bitter taste was the most difficult to recognize. There was no significant association between the threshold of detection and / or recognition of primary flavors with the nutritional status indicators evaluated in this study. This study highlighted the difficulty for the recognition of bitter taste by the elderly, but did not observe a relationship of normal or altered taste sensitivity with nutritional status.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors identify existing patterns of technological cooperation between sectors of the Brazilian industry, based on data from the National Research of Technological Innovation 2001-2003 (Pintec).
Abstract: Cooperation is granted by the current business environment with an important role in development of innovations, thus making relevant the analysis of cooperative relationships across different industries. The present research aims to identify existing patterns of technological cooperation between sectors of the Brazilian industry, based on data from the National Research of Technological Innovation 2001-2003 (Pintec). The main focus of the present descriptive and exploratory study is to analyze the industrial sectors which are listed at Classificacao Nacional de Atividades Economicas – CNAE (Economic Activity National Classification). The data treatment was made up through cluster analysis. The results identify the existence of two different groups and highlight those that show higher cooperation index, such as: tobacco product manufacturing; oil refining; metallurgical products; office and computer equipment manufacturing; communication equipment and device manufacturing. A significant difference was evidenced between the groups according to the types of cooperation established and, in a general way, it is verified that, in Brazil, intensive industry production tend to show a higher level technological cooperation.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss process philosophy's potential contributions to understanding and investigation of innovation processes associated with organizational contexts, and encourage future discussion around two aspects: process philosophy-oriented conceptualizations of innovation process and process philosophyoriented methods of investigation about innovation processes.
Abstract: Purpose The purpose of this paper is to discuss process philosophy’s potential contributions to understanding and investigation of innovation processes associated with organizational contexts. Design/methodology/approach The paper is a theoretical piece that examines the concept of process philosophy by relating it to the relevant literature and use of examples. Findings In particular, the authors develop some ideas and encourage future discussion around two aspects: process philosophy-oriented conceptualizations of innovation processes and process philosophy-oriented methods of investigation about innovation processes. The authors conclude that more process philosophy-oriented research of innovation processes must be conceptually multidimensional and methodologically performative. Originality/value There is a recent claim about a “process turn” within organization studies, which is partly represented by attempts to develop and apply a deeper meaning of process. The presentation of the concept is novel, and does add to the literature. These aspects provide clarification regarding implications of thinking and enquiring procedurally into innovation processes.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the perception of the use of technology in the routine of professionals in the Brazilian judicial system through a qualitative approach and found that the interpretation of the transformation contemplated modernity, agility, sustainability, improved judicial service, easier access, greater availability of information and reduction of risks and costs.
Abstract: The Brazilian judicial system underwent a transformation with the computerization of the judicial process. Through a qualitative approach, it was analyzed the perception of the use of technology in the routine of professionals. The interpretation of the transformation contemplated modernity, agility, sustainability, improved judicial service, easier access, greater availability of information and reduction of risks and costs. Among the negotiation mechanisms was the imposition by the judiciary and the need for use by law firms. Different aspects of computerized systems have shaped the use of technology in practice, for example, migration of administrative activities from the judiciary to lawyers, work routine dictated by the system and migration of trust. Some of these aspects had a greater effect on technology processes and others on the practice of advocacy. Practices include migration of administrative activities, password sharing, storage and printing of case records, use of robots, absence of signature in court minutes, increased time devoted to proceedings, replication of information between the court system and law firms, use of management systems in offices and courts, use of two video monitors, creative vacuum, change in the way process data is referenced, need for knowledge to examine digital documents, search for conciliation between parties, migration fidelity and alteration of the work routine of lawyers is now dictated by the system.
