Commissioning of the ATLAS Muon Spectrometer with Cosmic Rays

Georges Aad, +2661 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of the trigger and tracking chambers, their alignment, the detector control system, the data acquisition and the analysis programs are discussed. And the results show that the detector is close to the design performance and that the Muon Spectrometer is ready to detect muons produced in high energy protonproton collisions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for squarks and gluinos in events with an isolated lepton, jets, and missing transverse momentum at s=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Morad Aaboud, +2918 more
- 21 Oct 2016 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of a search for gluinos in final states with an isolated electron or muon, multiple jets and large missing transverse momentum using proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for charged Higgs bosons in the H-+/- -> tau(+/-)nu(tau) decay channel in proton-proton collisions at s=13 TeV

Albert M. Sirunyan, +2334 more
TL;DR: In this article, a search for charged Higgs bosons in the H$−−1−ε decay mode in the hadronic final state and in final states with an electron or a muon is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Observation of electroweak W ± Z boson pair production in association with two jets in pp collisions at s=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Morad Aaboud, +2987 more
- 10 Jun 2019 -
TL;DR: In this paper, an observation of electroweak W±Z production in association with two jets in proton-proton collisions is presented, with an observed significance of 5.3 standard deviations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cross Sections for the Exclusive Photon Electroproduction on the Proton and Generalized Parton Distributions

H. S. Jo, +143 more
TL;DR: The results support the model predictions of a larger nucleon size at lower quark-momentum fraction x_{B} and the GPD H, expected to be the dominant contributor to these observables.
