TL;DR: In this article, an on-the-fly force field generation method is developed and applied to liquid-solid phase transitions, which allows the machine to automatically self-learn interatomic potentials during molecular dynamics simulations and to generate force fields with the distinctive chemical precision of first-principles methods.
Abstract: An on-the-fly force field generation method is developed and applied to liquid-solid phase transitions. The method allows the machine to automatically self-learn interatomic potentials during molecular dynamics simulations and to generate force fields with the distinctive chemical precision of first-principles methods. Applications show that more than 99% of the expensive first-principles calculations are bypassed, and molecular dynamics simulations are accelerated by more than two orders of magnitude already during learning, with many more orders during production runs.

TL;DR: In this paper, a travel plan preparing device is used for preparing a travel plans by accessing a data base from terminal and acquiring information about service facilities existing on the route from the starting place to the destination.
Abstract: A travel plan preparing device used for preparing a travel plan by accessing a data base from terminal and acquiring information about service facilities existing on the route from the starting place to the destination. An area or desired kind of service is inputted through an input device (110) and transmitted to the data base (100) through a transmitter-receiver (116). When an area is inputted, the data base (100) retrieves the information about the service facilities in the designated area and transmits the information to the terminal. When a desired kind of service is inputted, the data base (100) transmits the information about hte positions of the pertinent service facilities and the electronic controller (ECU) (114) of the terminal calculates the distribution of the service facilities on a map, selects the area which meets most the inputted condition, and displays the area on a display device (12). A GPS navigation system (112) searches the route to the selected area and prepares a travel plan.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a benchmark for 6D pose estimation of a rigid object from a single RGB-D input image, which consists of a texture-mapped 3D object model or images of the object in known 6D poses.
Abstract: We propose a benchmark for 6D pose estimation of a rigid object from a single RGB-D input image. The training data consists of a texture-mapped 3D object model or images of the object in known 6D poses. The benchmark comprises of: (i) eight datasets in a unified format that cover different practical scenarios, including two new datasets focusing on varying lighting conditions, (ii) an evaluation methodology with a pose-error function that deals with pose ambiguities, (iii) a comprehensive evaluation of 15 diverse recent methods that captures the status quo of the field, and (iv) an online evaluation system that is open for continuous submission of new results. The evaluation shows that methods based on point-pair features currently perform best, outperforming template matching methods, learning-based methods and methods based on 3D local features. TL;DR: In this article, a back camera image from a rear portion of a vehicle body is displayed on a display mounted on the console inside the vehicle cabin when the vehicle is parallel parking, and guidance images may be overlaid upon the camera images during some or all of the parallel parking maneuver.
Abstract: A back camera image from a back camera mounted on a rear portion of a vehicle body is displayed on a display mounted on the console inside the vehicle cabin when the vehicle is parallel parking. After the vehicle passes a steering direction reversal point in this state, a corner camera image from a corner camera mounted on a corner portion of a front portion of the vehicle body is displayed on the display when the vehicle nears a vehicle parked in front, or, more specifically, when an angle of the vehicle after it has reached the steering direction reversal point has reached a predetermined value. Guidance images may be overlaid upon the camera images during some or all of the parallel parking maneuver.
