TL;DR: In this paper, a differential encoding for the I and Q data sequences according to a differential binary phase shift keying (DBPSK) modulation was performed to produce an I code sequence and a Q code sequence.
Abstract: In a transmitting unit, an input signal is converted into an I data sequence of an in-phase (I) symbol and a Q data sequence of a quadrature (Q) symbol, a differential encoding is performed for the I and Q data sequences according to a differential binary phase shift keying (DBPSK) modulation to produce an I code sequence and a Q code sequence, a spectrum of the I code sequence is spread by a first spreading code signal to produce an I spread spectrum signal, a spectrum of the Q code sequence is spread by a second spreading code signal to produce a Q spread spectrum signal, the I and Q spread spectrum signals are quadrature-modulated to a synthesized signal, and the synthesized signal is transmitted to a receiving unit. In the receiving unit, the synthesized signal is quadrature-demodulated to a first baseband signal and a second baseband signal, the first and second baseband signals are respectively correlated with each of the first and second spreading code signals to obtain first and second I correlated signals and first and second Q correlated signals, and a BPSK delay detection is performed for a group of the first and second I correlated signals and a group of the first and second Q correlated signals to reproduce the I and Q data sequences.

TL;DR: In this article, the capability information of the destination is stored in the memory of the local server or the sender, and the sender registers the obtained capability information to a memory, which either has the capability or not.
Abstract: An Internet facsimile apparatus as a sender makes inquiry about capability, which a destination Internet facsimile apparatus possesses, to a local server in a local network. When the local server has no capability information of the destination stored, the sender makes inquiry to a DNS server higher than the local server and obtains capability information of the destination from the DNS server. Then, the sender registers the obtained capability information of the destination to a memory, which the local server or the sender has. This realizes that the sender can surely obtain capability information of the destination. Also, this makes it possible to automatically register capability information of the destination to the memory of the local server or the sender.

TL;DR: A synchronous reproduction apparatus for synchronously reproducing a video signal and an audio signal receives a multiplexed bit stream in which the following data are packeted: video encoded data obtained by encoding video frames, each frame being a fundamental unit of reproduction of video signal; video presentation time data showing a time to output a reproduced video signal of each video frame; audio encoded data extracted from each audio frame; and system time data as mentioned in this paper.

TL;DR: In this article, a flexible circuit board composed of a flexible insulated substrate, a circuit conductor formed on one side of the substrate, and a pair of conductor layers formed along opposite sides of a substrate to serve as external connection terminals is presented.
Abstract: A hybrid integrated circuit component for insertion in a slit of a mother printed circuit board, and a method of mounting the hybrid integrated circuit component. The circuit component includes a flexible circuit board composed of a flexible insulated substrate, a circuit conductor formed on one side of the substrate, and a pair of conductor layers formed along opposite sides of the substrate to serve as external connection terminals. Circuit elements are mounted on the substrate and electrically connected to the circuit conductor. A pair of hard supporting plates are cemented on the other surface and at the opposite sides of the substrate so that the flexible circuit board can be folded at a center bending portion of the substrate so that the supporting plates face each other and so that the connection terminals are arranged close to each other when the substrate is folded and so that the substrate at its bending portion, when folded, has a sufficient spring characteristic for ensuring contact between the slit of the mother printed circuit board and each of the connection terminals, when the connection terminals are inserted into the slit of the mother printed circuit board.

TL;DR: In this article, a single video camera is installed on a vehicle body and two still pictures of an obstacle are obtained at different vehicle traveling positions, and a picture memory stores the obtained still pictures.
Abstract: A single video camera is installed on a vehicle body. Two still pictures of an obstacle are obtained at different vehicle traveling positions. A picture memory stores the obtained still pictures. A feature point extracting section extracts at least one feature point from the data of the stored still pictures. A three-dimensional coordinate data calculating section calculates the distance from the vehicle body to the feature point and the height of the feature point based on the positional data of the feature point on the screen and the vehicle traveling distance data. A stereoscopic picture forming section forms a stereoscopic picture image of a detected obstacle based on three-dimensional coordinate data of the feature points. A monitor displays a plan view or a side view showing the relationship between the vehicle body and the obstacle, thereby allowing a driver to directly grasp the distance of the obstacle. When the obstacle is located within a predetermined distance from the vehicle body, the driver is cautioned against a predictable collision by the alarm sound or related image.
