15 Mar 1982TL;DR: An immobilized enzyme electrode is used to measure the substrate concentration of an enzyme and in conversion from enzyme reaction energies into electric energies as discussed by the authors, which allows the determination quantity of the enzyme substrate as extremely low as approximately 10 -5 to 10 -6 mole/l in concentration.
Abstract: An immobilized enzyme electrode effective in measurement of the substrate concentration of the enzyme and in conversion from enzyme reaction energies into electric energies. The immobilized enzyme, of an oxidase system, such as glucose oxidase, amino acid oxidase, xanthine oxidase or the like and a metal oxide capable of constituting a redox system which is reduced through coupling with these enzyme reactions and is electrochemically oxidized (anodic oxidation) are combined with each other. The use of the enzyme electrode allows the determination quantity of the enzyme substrate as extremely low as approximately 10 -5 to 10 -6 mole/l in concentration.

28 Mar 2002TL;DR: In this paper, the authors described a user interface device having first and second imaging means for forming first-and second images of a three-dimensional zone from two different viewpoints, and image data generating means for generating image data corresponding to the first- and second images.
Abstract: There is a described a user interface device having first and second imaging means for forming first and second images of a three-dimensional zone from two different viewpoints, and image data generating means for generating image data corresponding to the first and second images. A processor determines the position of an object within the three-dimensional zone from the image data for the first and second images, associates the determined position with corresponding information and generates a data signal in accordance with the information corresponding to the determined position. In an embodiment, the user interface device is in the form of a virtual keyboard. In another embodiment, the user interface device is in the form of a tablet for handwriting recognition.

13 Apr 1999TL;DR: In this paper, an illumination control method for an image displayed on an image display device is presented, where one or more light sources provided in the appreciation space is controlled so that at least one parameter of a level, a light color, a luminous intensity distribution, and a direction of illumination to the appreciated space is made substantially coincident with a corresponding parameter.
Abstract: In an illumination control method of the present invention, illumination of an appreciation space is controlled in association with an image displayed on an image display device so that a realism of the image displayed on a screen of the image display device can be enhanced, where an appreciator appreciating the image is in the appreciation space. More specifically, one or more light sources provided in the appreciation space is controlled so that at least one parameter of a level, a light color, a luminous intensity distribution, and a direction of illumination to the appreciation space is made substantially coincident with a corresponding parameter of a virtual image space imaginarily created from the image displayed on the image display device.
