Guidelines for the use and interpretation of assays for monitoring autophagy

Daniel J. Klionsky, +1287 more
- 01 Apr 2012 -
TL;DR: These guidelines are presented for the selection and interpretation of methods for use by investigators who aim to examine macroautophagy and related processes, as well as for reviewers who need to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of papers that are focused on these processes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystal Structure of the TLR4-MD-2 Complex with Bound Endotoxin Antagonist Eritoran

TL;DR: A model ofTLR4-MD-2 dimerization induced by LPS is proposed and a series of hybrids of human TLR4 and hagfish VLR are produced and their structures with and without bound MD-2 and Eritoran are determined.
Journal ArticleDOI

Combining multiple microarray studies and modeling interstudy variation

TL;DR: A method for systematic integration of multiple microarray datasets and an alternative modeling procedure based on a Bayesian approach, which would offer flexibility and robustness compared to the classical procedure are established.
Journal ArticleDOI

A noncanonical E-box enhancer drives mouse Period2 circadian oscillations in vivo

TL;DR: The mouse mPer2 promoter is analyzed and a circadian enhancer (E2) with a noncanonical 5'-CACGTT-3' E-box located 20 bp upstream of the m per2 transcription start site is identified, sufficient to drive self-sustained circadian rhythms of luciferase activity in central and peripheral tissues from mPer 2-E2::Luciferase transgenic mice with tissue-specific phase and period characteristics.
