TL;DR: This paper demonstrates the first fully integrated coherent terahertz imaging transceiver on silicon, composed of a phase-locked high-power transmitter and a coherent high-sensitivity subharmonic-mixing receiver.
Abstract: A 320 GHz fully integrated terahertz imaging system is reported. The system is composed of a phase-locked high-power transmitter and a coherent high-sensitivity subharmonic-mixing receiver, which are fabricated using a 130 nm SiGe BiCMOS technology ( $f_{T}/f_{\max } = $ 220/280 GHz). To enhance the imaging sensitivity, a heterodyne coherent detection scheme is utilized. To obtain frequency coherency, fully integrated phase-locked loops are implemented on both the transmitter and receiver chips. According to the measurement results, consuming a total dc power of 605 mW, the transmitter chip achieves a peak radiated power of 2 mW and a peak EIRP of 21.1 dBm. The receiver chip achieves an equivalent incoherent responsivity of more than 7.26 MV/W and a sensitivity of 70.1 pW under an integration bandwidth of 1 kHz, with a total dc power consumption of 117 mW. The achieved sensitivity with this proposed coherent imaging transceiver is around ten times better compared with other state-of-the-art incoherent imagers. To the best of our knowledge, this paper demonstrates the first fully integrated coherent terahertz imaging transceiver on silicon.

TL;DR: The structural and electrical characterisation of nickel contacts on n-type silicon carbide was performed to improve the ohmic behavior at high temperatures in this paper, where the formation of nickel silicide (Ni2Si) was observed after annealing in vacuum of Ni/SiC samples at 600-°C, as well as after rapid thermal anneeling (RTA) in N2 at 700 for 60 seconds.

TL;DR: In vivo studies in a transgenic Caenorhabditis elegans strain expressing human Aβ indicated that silybin B is the most effective of the four compounds in counteracting Aβ proteotoxicity, and this study underscores the pivotal role of stereochemistry in determining the neuroprotective potential of silybins.
Abstract: The self-assembling of the amyloid β (Aβ) peptide into neurotoxic aggregates is considered a central event in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) Based on the “amyloid hypothesis”, many efforts have been devoted to designing molecules able to halt disease progression by inhibiting Aβ self-assembly Here, we combine biophysical (ThT assays, TEM and AFM imaging), biochemical (WB and ESI-MS), and computational (all-atom molecular dynamics) techniques to investigate the capacity of four optically pure components of the natural product silymarin (silybin A, silybin B, 2,3-dehydrosilybin A, 2,3-dehydrosilybin B) to inhibit Aβ aggregation Despite TEM analysis demonstrated that all the four investigated flavonoids prevent the formation of mature fibrils, ThT assays, WB and AFM investigations showed that only silybin B was able to halt the growth of small-sized protofibrils thus promoting the formation of large, amorphous aggregates Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations indicated that silybin B interacts

TL;DR: In this article, a method, apparatus and network device for controlling the flow of network data arranged in frames and minimizing congestion, such as in the receive port of an HDLC controller is disclosed.
Abstract: A method, apparatus and network device for controlling the flow of network data arranged in frames and minimizing congestion, such as in the receive port of an HDLC controller is disclosed. A status error indicator is generated within a receive FIFO memory indicative of a frame overflow within the receive FIFO memory. In response to the status error indicator, an early congestion interrupt is generated to a host processor indicative that a frame overflow has occurred within the receive FIFO memory. The incoming frame is discarded and the services of received frames are enhanced by one of either increasing the number of words of a direct memory access (DMA) unit burst size, or modifying the time-slice of other active processes.

TL;DR: In this article, the first units generate first digital messages and transform them into second digital messages obtained by application of an orthogonal or quasi-orthogonal transformation to the first messages.
Abstract: A method for transmitting messages from first units of an integrated circuit to at least one second unit of the integrated circuit. The first units generate first digital messages and transform them into second digital messages obtained by application of an orthogonal or quasi-orthogonal transformation to the first messages. The second messages of the first units are added up and transmitted to the second unit.
