Toxicity of Graphene Quantum Dots in Zebrafish Embryo

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of graphene quantum dots (GQDs) on the embryonic development of zebrafish were investigated in vitro at exposure concentrations ranging from 12.5-200 μg/mL for 4-96 h post-fertilization (hpf).
Journal ArticleDOI

A Novel Hierarchical Ship Classifier for COSMO-SkyMed SAR Data

TL;DR: A novel hierarchical ship classifier for COSMO-SkyMed SAR data was proposed and three ships were classified into bulk carriers, container ships, and oil tankers, with an accuracy of 93.3%, 80.0%, and 72.7%, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bacterial lipid droplets bind to DNA via an intermediary protein that enhances survival under stress

TL;DR: It is shown that these LDs bind to genomic DNA through the major LD protein, MLDS, which increases survival rate of the bacterial cells under nutritional and genotoxic stress, which supports the idea that bacterial LDs can regulate nucleic acid function and facilitate bacterial survival under stress.

The ER-Localized Protein DFCP1 Modulates ER-Lipid Droplet Contact Formation.

TL;DR: This study reveals that fusion of DFCP1-labeled nascent structures contributes to initial LD growth and that the DFCp1-Rab18 complex is involved in tethering the ER-LD contact for LD expansion.
